Knowledge Transfer Network - Transport

The mission of the Transport Knowledge Transfer Network is to support the development of integrated, efficient and sustainable transport systems, by bringing together independent but interrelated organisations to stimulate innovation through knowledge transfer, and signposting to R&D funding wherever possible.  The KTN strategy is driven by market demand and supply-chain innovation; our work and programme priorities are set by the need for additionality, relevance, and neutrality.  We aim to break down traditional silo thinking and encourage knowledge, skills and technology exchange within key travel and transport technology areas - Intelligent Mobility and Energy Efficiency.

R&D competitions of interest to the automotive and energy efficiency community at present include £1million for motorsport, £120million for advanced manufacturing and an upcoming Technology Strategy Board IDP10 low carbon vehicles R&D competition.
